International Driving Permit (IDP). Despite Singapore being part of the ASEAN countries, individuals
with a Singaporean driver's license are not permitted to use it when driving a Malaysian car in
Malaysia. Therefore, even if one is residing in Singapore, they must still obtain an IDP for their
driver's license. The IDP is available to anyone who is at least eighteen years old and possesses a
valid driver's license that will remain valid for at least one more year.
