Saba was originally a ceremony aimed at curing various types of diseases. The Saba tree a key feature in this performance as a symbol of the where the heavenly descends to cure illnesses. Described as a lush and shady tree in a flower garden, which reflects the beauty of ‘Eden’. Elements such as singing, dancing and dialogue between 'Peduang' and 'Muda Di Awan' make this Saba' performance captivating. In order to enhance the interest of the public about the art of Saba, 'Nong Sakti' was transformed into a theatrical performance so that it could be appreciated by all levels of society.
