VM2020 EcoTrail® Putrajaya 2020 is the second edition of the ecotrail series that would be held in Malaysia. In 2007, a group of runners in the suburbs of Paris decided to create a trail race in an urban environment with the objective of promoting environmental conservation. From that year onwards, the Ecotrail® editions have grown from 1,500 participants to around 12,000 participants in March 2019. Malaysia is the first country outside of Europe to host the ecotrail series.
