To get to Taman Negara Kuala Tahan

  • Driving: Drive from Kuantan to Jerantut, which takes around three to four hours. From Jerantut, continue by road for 68 kilometres, for about 1 hour and 15 minutes directly to Kuala Tahan.

  • Public Bus: Take a bus from Jerantut to Jeti Kuala Tembeling. From there, board a boat to Kuala Tahan. The boat ride takes approximately two and a half to three hours and costs RM 55 per person.

  • Train: Take a train to Jerantut Railway Station. From Jerantut, follow the same route by bus, taxi or car to reach Taman Negara Kuala Tahan.

Kuala Gandah National Elephant Conservation Centre

Kuala Gandah National Elephant Conservation Centre is a sanctuary dedicated to protecting and relocating elephants in Malaysia. Established in 1989, this centre serves as a base for the Elephant Relocation Team, which has successfully relocated over 700 wild elephants to date.

Rainbow Waterfall

Muzium Sungai Lembing

Jerangkang Waterfall in Kuantan

This waterfall is said to have up to 47 tiers, 39 of which create its mesmerising sequence of falls and pools.   • Driving: From the KL-Kuantan road, drive 30 kilometres past Maran, then turn left at the Hutan Lipur Jerangkang signboard. Follow the road through rubber plantations, passing under the KL-Kuantan Highway. A 4WD is needed for the final part of the journey, but this may change as the access road project progresses.
