Top Walk Sungai Sedim

Did you know that Malaysia is home to the longest rainforest canopy walk in the world? If you ever fancy an unconventional stroll for that daily dose of fresh air, or a day of adventure with friends, then Tree Top Walk Sungai Sedim is the place to be.

Located in Sungai Sedim Recreational Park, about a 30-minute drive away from the town of Kulim, Kedah, you will have to travel up north of Malaysia to experience the longest stroll-in-the-air for yourself (925 metres, to be exact). I don’t know about you, but I have always wondered what it’s like to fly high like a bird and enjoy a panoramic view of Mother Earth. Now, with Sungai Sedim’s Tree Top Walk, you can experience a bird’s-eye view of the rainforest. Rest your eyes with the lush greenery accompanied by the sound of the flowing, cool river. Standing 26 metres high from the forest floor, no trees were harmed in the making of the walk as it is self-supporting!

Aside from the floating promenade, Tree Top Walk offers a list of adrenergic activities for you to plan your own day of adventure, so many that I can’t possibly brief them all in one article! However, you can find the full list here. From the usual sports suited for the adrenaline junkies, to educational and relaxing activities, Tree Top Walk has it all.

Among the more extreme activities available include white water rafting, abseiling, flying fox, and paintball. In the mood for something peaceful, quiet, and one that would allow yourself to reconnect with nature? Opt for the jungle-trekking, hiking, or birdwatching instead. It is advised to contact the management beforehand (especially the extreme sports) for them to prepare the equipment ahead of your arrival.

One might think, so much to do, so little time… Tree Top Walk has got it covered with their accommodation! Spend the night at Bintang Sedim Villa and choose between their standard rooms and dormitories (that can accommodate up to 24 pax). Or if you’d like to stay true to the outdoor experience, Tree Top Walk also provides camping sites with rates as low as RM10/pax!

While the standard room for 3 pax is normally priced at RM130 per night, it is now offered from only RM80, in addition to 50% discount on the canopy walk entrance!
