Your tour will begin at Istana Bandar which is also known as Sultan Ala'eddin Palace. This palace located at Kampung Bandar Jugra. It is the palace of the Sultan Ala'eddin until his death in 1938. This architecture is a blend of Asian and colonial influences. It is made of brick and lime mortar with chengal wood. This double-storey palace stretches across 5 hectares with 44 rooms along with a verandah and a forbidden garden.
Next, you will be driven to visit Jugra In-Situ Museum (previously Jugra Police Station) which possessing a history as the first prison in Selangor. While you walk through the museum, you’ll be transported across time and space as you witness a diverse variety of exhibits that will mesmerize you. Some of the most popular exhibits in the museum include the used of advanced technology by using granite material for the construction. The rectangular granite stones was built by British police officer, Captain Harry Charles Syers in 1878. Its remnants are well-preserved and can still be seen today.
After that you will experience the short adventure trip to Jugra Hill. During its heyday, Jugra was the royal capital of the Sultanate of Selangor. It is located in a rural area which is surrounded by the natural elements. As such, biodiversity is one of the most important natural heritages that must be kept intact to enhance the significance of the area. By getting here, the visitor will see the magnificent scenery of two lighthouses at the top of the hill and be treated to great views of the Straits of Malacca.
